Simplicity 2599 Review
Alas, here we are again... There was a sale on Simplicity patterns, so I had to get some! Here is today's Pattern Du Jour:
The #1 reason I got this pattern was for the simplicity of it... get it... simplicity... ((cough)) Anywho, I wanted a good basic shirt pattern that you could frill up if you wanted, and this pattern even came with the frills! I loved the length of the shirts, because I just adore a looooong shirt. And I just love a good ol' t-shirt.
The first one I tried was the one that the model was wearing... the sleeveless shirt with the bow and frills at the neck. When I was checking out, the lovely lady at Hancock Fabrics told me that it was one of her favorite patterns. She said if you are using a knit that you will not need to make the darts in the front. I plan on making a few versions of this, so I will see if she is correct. But either way, for $1.99 you can't beat it!!
