Don't Worry...
So when I make things with my Cricut, I try to be original. When I get an idea, I Google it to see if anything similar pops up and if not, I go ahead with the project. I do get inspired by things I've seen, but I also do a lot of research before making anything. I try to make it a rule to be as original as possible so as to not steal anyone's ideas.
Today however, I broke that rule. I couldn't help it! I saw a woman wearing a shirt on a yoga show on TBD and I laughed out loud, so I had to make one for myself. I kind of feel bad about stealing someone else's idea, but it's only for me to wear and enjoy. I'm not selling it or profiting from it or anything like that. It's just some funny shit.
The shirt I had chosen as my funny vessel was on clearance at Wally World for one whole dollar in the men's section. The husband was buying socks and I was bored and spotted something green on the bottom shelf and was delighted to find a t-shirt for $1. I got a men's medium which is a tad roomy, but it'll do. Once we got it home and washed it, I noticed this weird fading right across the chest, but I was going to put some words there so I wasn't too concerned.
See the light green bar across the chest... Dafuq?
I put it on the ironing board and got it ready for application aaaaand this happened:
He melted...
I let him chill while I cut out the design, and once I was done he was evicted and I got to work. I used regular Siser easy weed for most of the words and the bee on the pocket. I also used some glitter HTV for the 'Yonce' that I got on Etsy in a pack of 'scrap vinyl.' It says scrap on the description, but these pieces were pretty big and I have gotten to do a lot of testing with them. I was very happy with this pack! This was also my first time using actual Siser easy weed and it really is super easy to weed! It has a wonderful soft feel and I will definitely be using it again.
I know this is not an original idea, but it makes me laugh every time, so I don't care. Haha. Plus I switched it up with the whole glitter thing. Almost all of the ones I found online are boring and all the same font. At least I changed fonts and colors. I put the tiny bee on the right sleeve and the rest you can see. I think next time I might move the words closer to the center, but just a tad. I am loving this silly shirt! :-D
